Associate Scientist, Flow Cytometry - Contract - Tarrytown, NY

º¬Ðß²ÝÓ°Ôº is seeking a dedicated Associate Scientist to contribute to a specialised flow cytometry function within a cutting‑edge research setting.

Primary Responsibilities:

This team provides cell‑sorting services, analytical support, and ongoing instrument maintenance to a range of research groups, and is responsible for executing advanced sorting workflows using high‑performance cytometry platforms.

Skills & Requirements:

• At least a BS/MS in a scientific field and 1-3 years of relevant experience using cytometric instrumentation
• Experimental laboratory work and cytometry sorting is strongly preferred
• Must be flexible and willing to perform flow cytometric duties that expedite and support scientific staff's flow cytometric goals and objectives
• Experiences with cell sorting, tissue culture, cytometry staining, assay development, and data analysis is advantageous.
• You can work independently but also within a collaborative team environment and have flexibility to work on changing priorities
• You are able to critically analyse and troubleshoot scientific problems
• You have a customer-centric viewpoint
• Have strong analytical problem-solving skills.

The Associate Scientist's responsibilities will be:

• Ensuring proper maintenance, alignment, and calibration of cell sorting equipment
• Keeping up-to-date with electronic notebooks
• Maintaining and organizing schedules for cell sorting equipment
• Maintaining adequate inventory of flow cytometry supplies and reagents

Compensation:

• $40 to $44 per hour.
